The Million Dollar Cookie

Well, fortunately it doesn't cost us a million dollars to buy it- Pillsbury did this. A 59 year old woman from Maryland won the Pillsbury Bake Off grand prize of $1,000,000 for her "Double Delight Peanut Butter Cookies". There are specific rules for the bake off in that you need to use at least 2 different Pillsbury or affiliated brand products in your recipe. This woman used the Pillsbury refrigerated peanut butter cookie dough and wrapped it around a creamy peanut butter center and then rolled it in crushed peanuts. Amazing that you can win that much from a recipe! This woman paid her dues in that the 15th year she had entered the bake off so it just goes to show that persistence really pays off. I think that I will try the recipe sometime because I really love semi-homemade items. There are also some other really great ones on the website that I want to try so just thought I'd pass along the info- and maybe it will spark some inspiration for next years contest :-)

Oh- and one of the cutest thing about this lady is that they asked her what she was going to do with the money and she said that her husband is a financial planner and so he's getting a good amount of it, and then she will give the rest to her church and family . . . and then maybe do something for herself. She definitely lived up to her "sweetness".
