Yet, another entry about Halloween. Oh the fun times. So William's creativity knows no bounds. We were going to a dinner with his old roommate and his wife and we were bringing spinach and artichoke dip in a bread bowl. William felt that this was just too boring and that given the Halloween spirit, the bread bowl needed to be carved like a pumpkin. So, here is his carving skills in action.
Though cute, he thought it needed to be a bit more ghoulish and so he put some of the dip seeping from its mouth. Had we not been going to his old roommates house, I probably would have made him clean it up, but instead I just laughed.
Check out our full moon- complete with clouds drifting over it. Spooky for Halloween!
We were really sad and kind of surprised that we did not receive even 1 trick-or-treater. True, we live in an apartment complex, but we thought at least one would come. They did not. So we drove to this one neighborhood where the people go all out on their houses.
The following two photos are all from the same house. What you might not be able to tell is that every inch of their yard is covered with giant balloon creatures. The Skull, a giant haunted house, a haunted carriage, and Frankenstein. Additionally, in the round window above their door, they have a giant skull with skeleton hands along side of it. I have never seen anything quite like it at one person's house.
The photos truly do not do it justice. I had seen it before and had to bring William and he too was stunned by what he saw. But, not to be outdone, their neighbors also had Halloween things on their lawn. They had a big jack-o-lantern pumpkin with ghosts inside that spun around mechanically! I've never seen anything like this little working ghost carousel inside of the pumpkin.
All I can say is that it was definitely a haunted halloween
